Degree Psychology

Don’t be fooled by the title. Just because I acquire a bachelor’s degree in physics, doesn’t mean that I have the education or experience to teach physics on a college level. Nor does it mean I will immediately snag a position at NASA. People who work on these levels generally achieve their PhD first. We’re talking about a bit more school and most likely a dissertation. Catch my drift. So what about psychology careers? You wouldn’t believe how many individuals I’ve encountered that were striving for a degree in psychology so that they could graduate and begin a career as a criminal profiler for the F.B.I. Haa, not exactly. Becoming a criminal profiler at that level is going to take more than a mere bachelor’s degree in psychology. What about F.B.I. training and law enforcement skills? Do the research before you assume. Now, that’s not to say that there aren’t a few decent psychology careers. Maybe you want to be a psychologist or someone who works with troubled children. If you’re looking forward to becoming a psychiatrist, then you’d better thing about the medical degree you’ll need as well.
